Higher Things - Youth Baking Auction Fundraiser

Big thank you to Karen Wiome, Denise Gottfried and Mount Olive Youth (Nick Bage, Dylan Crawford, Mattea & Mikal Gerl, Jessica & Julianna Gottfried, Eden Manz, Ethan Sjoberg, Lynden, Jenna & Joshua Wiome) for cooking and running the fundraiser supper; to Darcy Gerl for pounding the pavement to collect together our non-baking auction items; to the Sjoberg family and Clancy's Meat Co. for supplying the sausages, beans and potatoes for our supper; and to our auctioneer Mr. Steve Turnquist. The auction raised $1,683 for youth to attend the Higher Things Bread of Life 2016 conference in Fort Collins Colorado (July 26-29) held on the campus of Colorado State University.

Dinner tickets and donations (after expenses) raises $2165.00 for a grand total of $3588.00 for the evening. Part of that total is a $500 matching grant from Faith Life Financial. Thank you to eveyone who provided baking! And lastly a really big thank you to the generosity and support of friends, family and members of Mount Olive Lutheran Church.
