Sunday School Parent Connection: Sun. Feb 16 - Called to Commitment

Mount Olive's Sunday School Parent Connection

A partnership between teachers and parents to educating our children and nourishing their spiritual growth!

CALLED TO COMMITMENT:  THE FEEDING OF THE 5,000

On Sunday we learned about the miracle Jesus performed to feed 5,000 people by multiplying two fish and five loaves of bread from the lunch of a small boy.  Only God can perform miracles and He still does them today!  God provides for all our daily needs.  We know how much God loves and cares for us.  Let us pray to Jesus to help us show that same love for others by the things we say and do in our homes, at school, and at church.  Help us to be servant leaders to those around us.

Pastor Terry gave a presentation to the children on all the aspects of our stewardship life.  We continued our memorization of the 66 books of the bible and are 13 books into the New Testament now.  We will continue to review every Sunday.  We ate loaves (fresh buns) and fishes (gold fish crackers), while making sparkly fish crafts.
REMINDER:
  • Next Sunday we will be discussing Bullying and each child will receive a small book from Lutheran Hour Ministries to take home.
Enjoy the school break!
