David Green’s Coyote vs. Acme (2026) is a film for anyone that thought the Loony Tunes Coyote deserved his day in court over faulty ACME products in his eternal quest to catch and eat the Road Runner. After suffering years of malfunctioning products, Wile E. Coyote hires local Albuquerque New Mexico small claims personal injury attorney, Kevin Avery (Will Forte), to take on ACME, a company that makes everything from toaster to satellites for human while also manufacturing a vast array of items used by the cartoon Looney Tunes characters. As the court case progresses Avery discovers that his client isn’t simply a random casualty of substandard products, Coyote is at the centre of a secret ACME research and development programme Project Sisyphus. Avery also discovers that his client lives up to his name and is more wily than expected.
In this interview, pastor Giese will dive into the Greek Mythological influences of the film, play a little good cop bad cop with the character of Wile E. Coyote, and consider a couple Scripture passages that come to mind related to the film.
