Outreach

Matthew 28:19-20

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Purpose

Our purpose: Any success we experience is all God’s doing and it is only with His help that we can bring others into the family of God. To do our part to keep others and ourselves from straying.  We try to focus our efforts to support the goals of:

  • Preparing and encouraging ourselves and other members to share the Gospel
  • Creating and participating in events that make for comfortable opportunities to share what God has done for us
  • Having a heart for outreach and a plan for follow-up
  • Promote assimilation and involvement in the church
Activities and Plans
New Member Welcome Lunch – This is always a joy to organize an excellent opportunity to get to know a little more about our newest members.    There are many different circumstances that cause people to find their way to Mount Olive.  It is our prayer that each new member feels they can call Mount Olive home.

Worship services, Sunday School, and fellowship time are designed especially with friends and family in mind. We encourage all of our members to reach out a hand and invite an unchurched friend or family member.

Community – We continue to encourage, participate in and assist with the outreach activities of other individuals and groups within the congregation.  There really are many great things happening at Mount Olive.
